Chernobyl Guided Tour
Full-day guided tour to Chernobyl includes visiting the place of the most awful ecological disaster.
8 a.m. Departure from Kiev. Two hours driving north to the border of "forbidden area". This area has 214 km in perimeter.
10 a.m. - 1 p.m. Going through check-point Dytyatko and entering the "forbidden area". Visiting Chernobyl nuclear station, the former working place of more than five thousand people. Survey of Sarcophagus - cover made from concrete and steel, protecting from radioactive substance and wreckage left after explosion. Visiting deathly calm phantom-city Pripyat. 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. - Inspectation of parking of contaminated transportation vehicles. Thousands of trucks, helicopters, armoured vehicles for personnel, so contaminated that nobody can approach them. Meeting self-settlers, old residents of the "forbidden area".
4 p.m. - Departure from the "forbidden area"
6 p.m. - Arrival to Kiev.
